How to find computer name ( Hostname ) on a Mac

To find the Computer Name ( also referred as Hostname )
- If you are using a computer owned by OTIS College, select the Splashtop icon located in the toolbar at the top-right corner or follow steps 2 -5
- Open the Apple Menu located in the top-left corner of your screen, and then choose Systems Preferences ( or System Settings )
- If you are running macOS 13 ( Ventura ) or newer click General then About
- If you are running macOS 12 ( Monterey ) or older Sharing
- Your computer name will be listed at the top of the Sharing or About Window depending of the macOS version you are running.
